Our digital footprint has grown significantly over the last few decades. Spread over different clouds and devices in drawers, our footprint increasingly contains vulnerable personal data. In this work, the artist exposes 100 deeply personal photos from his own digital storage. Each image is encrypted and displayed on an electronic paper display. It brings the viewer close to someone’s most vulnerable data, separated only by encryption. It asks the viewer how they manage their own footprint and how much they trust encryption.
