  • A Digital Crown

Personal data has become the foundational resource for corporate power. It mirrors the land ownership that underpinned the wealth of medieval kingdoms. This work presents the binary data of my Data Subject Access Request submitted to Meta Platforms Inc. It displays the data on an electronic paper crown, with images of the French Crown breaking through. This work asks us to consider the value of our own personal data and how that value powers and benefits others.
