This work gives a voice to a quantum-inspired cellular automaton: an evolving visualization based on predefined rules. The work applies a linguistic code to the Qonway Project, an open-source (Apache 2.0) work built on Qiskit at Hackathon Madrid in 2019. It analyzes each generation of the simulation and searches for meaning: letters are detected and formed into words and sentences that are printed on paper. The resulting text at times feels profound, yet it is entirely code. It asks the viewer to consider how readily we attach emotion to randomness and whether the intelligence we perceive in machines reflects ourselves.
